Consultation

Proposed Conservation Area in Eccleshill

Purpose of the consultation

Proposed Conservation Area in Eccleshill

We have been approached by members of the local community who have suggested that parts of Eccleshill be considered for designation as a Conservation Area.

The Landscape, Design and Conservation Team have prepared a preliminary assessment which outlines the architectural and historic interest of the area assessed. Residents within and immediately around the proposed boundary of the conservation area have been sent letters, a summary and a draft boundary map. These, along with a copy of the full draft Eccleshill Conservation Area assessment are available to view below. A paper copy will also be available in Eccleshill Library to view.

We welcome the views, questions and suggestions from anyone both within or outside of the proposed boundary.

Please email any comments to: conservation@bradford.gov.uk or submit written comments to: The Landscape, Design and Conservation Team, Bradford Council, 4th Floor, Britannia House, Bradford BD1 1HX by 31 March 2024.

Following on from this we will review all the feedback and comments and if the decision is to progress towards the designation of a conservation area, we will invite the local community to a consultation event where we will be happy to answer any questions and provide further information about the next steps.
