Public Bridleway No. 9 (Shipley) and No. 54 (Shipley) between Snowden Road Wrose and Wrose Brow Road Shipley (Modification) Order 2019

 

On 15th September 2022 City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding to them the following bridleways:

 

Public Bridleway No 54 (Shipley) marked A-B, B-C, C-D and E-F shown by a crossed black line on the Order Map 66660/T56/Order Plan commencing at Snowden Road at Grid Reference SE 1575 3697 (Point A) and continuing in a south-westerly direction for approximately 123 metres with a width of 3 metres and a grassed surface to Grid Reference SE 1570 3686 (Point B), then continues in a north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 206 metres with a width of 3 metres and a grassed and crushed stone surface to Grid Reference SE 1554 3699 (Point C), including horse stile and then in a north easterly direction for a distance of 229 metres with a width of 3 metres and a grassed and crushed stone surface to Grid Reference SE 1563 3720 (Point D) at its junction with Public Bridleway No 9 (Shipley). Proceeding from Grid Reference SE 1570 3727 (Point E), at its junction with Public Bridleway No 9 (Shipley) in a north easterly direction and then northerly direction for a distance of 324 metres with a width of 3 metres and a grassed and crushed stone surface to Grid Reference SE 1593 3745 (Point F) at its junction with Wrose Brow Road. The total length from Point A to Point B, Point B to Point C, Point C to Point D and Point E to Point F is 882 metres.

 

Public Bridleway No 9 (Shipley) shown by a broken and crossed black line on the map annexed hereto (Ref 66660/T56/Order Plan), commencing at Grid Reference SE 1563 3720 (Point D) at its junction with Public Bridleway No 54 (Shipley) and proceeding in a north-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 92 metres, with a width of 3 metres and a grassed and crushed stone surface to Grid Reference SE 1570 3727 (Point E) at its junction with Public Bridleway No 54 (Shipley). The length from Point D to Point E is 92 metres and is to be upgraded to public bridleway from public footpath.

 

A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Customer Services, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY during normal office hours and at Shipley Library, Wellcroft, Shipley during normal library opening hours. The Order comes into force on 3rd October 2022, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it,  on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order,  he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 15th September 2022 make an application to the High Court.
