Purpose of the consultation

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council

(Waiting Loading and Parking) (Consolidation) (Amendment No.4) Order 2022

 

104514 Bradford South Area 2019-2020

 

Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 24th February 2022 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to introduce the following:

 

      i.        No Waiting at Any Time’ on lengths of, Artic Parade; Bakes Street; Beckside Road; Paternoster Lane; Pleasant Street; Westcroft Road; Smith Road; Keeldar Close; Southmere Crescent/Southmere Road;  Smith Lane; Southfield Road,  in the Great Horton Ward; A647 West End, in the Queensbury Ward; Beacon Road; Chartwell Drive; Future Fields; Denham Drive; in the Queensbury and Royds Ward; Bierley Lane, Shetcliffe Lane; Cross Lane; Kesteven Road; Englefield Crescent; St Margaret’s Avenue/Knowles Lane/Bridgeway, in the Tong Ward; Adam Street; Halifax Road/Hatton Close; Halroyd Hill/Hardy Street; Wibsey Park Avenue; in the Wibsey Ward; Crown Street; Fearnley Gardens; and Griffe Road, Huddersfield Road, Wyke

    ii.        ‘No Waiting’ 8am – 4pm Mon Fri on a length of Northfield Road, Adam Street, Wibsey Ward

   iii.        ‘No Waiting’ 9am – 7pm Mon to Fri on a length of Bakes Street, Great Horton Ward

   iv.        ‘No Waiting’ 9am – 4pm Sundays on a length of Beckside Road, Great Horton Ward

    v.        ‘No Waiting’ 8.30am-9.15am 2.45pm-3.45pm Mon to Fri 1st September-31st July on a length of Smith Road, Great Horton Ward

   vi.        Limited Waiting 45mins No Return Within 1 Hour 9am – 6pm on a length of Arctic Parade, Great Horton Ward

  vii.        Loading Only 9am – 7pm Mon to Fri for 18.75 metres on a length of Bakes Street, Great Horton Ward

 viii.        No Stopping on School Entrance Marking 8am – 4pm Mon to Fri on a length of Adam Street, Wibsey Ward

   ix.        evocation of ‘No Waiting’ 8am – 6pm Mon Fri on a length of West End, Queensbury Ward     

 

The Order comes into force on 7th March 2022 and a copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads may be examined below or obtained from Shahid Aziz, Engineer, Traffic & Highways – Place by telephone on 01274 435722 or by email shahid.aziz@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number HS/TRSS/BS/104514/SA.

 

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made on 24th February 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
