School Streets Traffic Regulation Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 5 March 2024 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to prohibit the driving of vehicles within the stated time periods on the following lengths of road:

1. Albert Road, Saltaire, from its intersection with the southern kerb line of Titus Street, to a point 147 metres in a southerly direction and Shirley Street, Saltaire, from its intersection with the eastern kerb line of Albert Road to the intersection of the western kerb line of Upper Mary Street.

2. Shirley Street, Saltaire, from its intersection with the eastern kerb line of Albert Road to the intersection of the western kerb line of Upper Mary Street.

The Order came into force on 13 March 2024 and a copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY and below or obtained from Craig Williams, Senior Engineer, Planning, Transportation & Highways by telephone on 01535 618294 or by email Craig.Williams@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number P/HS/THN/104981/507.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made (18 April 2024) apply to the High Court for this purpose.
