Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District has made the above Order on the 18January 2024 under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the general effect of which will be to make permanent the prohibition of driving, access only and waiting restrictions along the following lengths of road in Saltaire Village:-

i.              ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ on a length of Albert Road, Carlton Avenue, Carlton Road, Dallam Road, Sleningford Road, Titus Street and Tower Road.

ii.             ‘Prohibition of Driving – Road Closure’ prohibit driving of motor vehicles on a length of Albert Road, Albert Terrace, Carlton Avenue, Carlton Road, Clarence Road, Dallam Road, Park Street, Sleningford Road, Titus Street and Tower Road.

iii.            ‘Prohibition of Driving – Except for Access’ on the whole lengths of Dallam Walk and Carlton Walk.  

The Order comes into force on the 22 January 2024. A copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, Ground Floor, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY or can be found below or obtained from Craig Williams, Senior Engineer, Planning, Transportation & Highways by email Craig.Williams@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number P/HS/THN/104981.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made on 18 January 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
