Purpose of the consultation

TCF Cycle Superhighway Bradford West Extension

 

Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council proposes to make the above Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 introducing various parking restrictions on the following lengths of road: -

 

      i.        No Motor Vehicles Parking or Loading on Footway or Cycle Track - Thornton Road, City Road and Sunbridge Road (entire length of cycle track).

    ii.        No Waiting at Any time & No Loading, Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm - Thornton Road West of its junction with Whetley Lane

   iii.        No Waiting at Any Time & No Loading, Monday-Saturday, 7:30am-9:30am & 4pm-6:30pm - Thornton Road East of its junction Whetley Lane to its junction with Weetwood Road.

   iv.        No Waiting or Loading at Any Time - Thornton Road East of its junction with Weetwood Road to its junction with City Road and City Road Northeast of its junction with Thornton Road to its junction with Gaynor Street.

    v.        No Waiting at Any Time & No Loading, Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm - City Road and Sunbridge Road.

   vi.        No Waiting at Any Time & No Loading, Monday-Saturday, 8am-6pm - East side of Gaynor Street and onto City Road.

  vii.        Loading Only bay, 8am-6pm, 1 hour no return within 30 minutes - outside property numbers 116 & 118 Sunridge Road, on Dyson Street and on Thornton Road West of its junction with Whetley Lane.

 viii.        Parking bay, Monday-Saturday, *am-6pm, 1 hour no return within 1 hour - outside property numbers 110 to 118 City Road and outside property numbers 440 to 460 Thornton Road.

   ix.        Police Only parking - outside property numbers 436 and 438 Thornton Road.

If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds for your objection in writing either by post to the address below or by email to legalobjections@bradford.gov.uk to be received no later than 12 noon on 12 January 2024 quoting reference:-  CORP/PCD/JLF/414869.
