Burley Neighbourhood Plan

Burley began preparation of a Neighbourhood Plan under the Localism Act in 2012. Following consultation and technical work the Parish Council submitted the neighbourhood Plan to the Council. It was then formally published for representations in June 2017. The Plan and the representations were then examined. The Inspector’s report is due by end of November. If the Inspector finds the document meets the basic conditions and is aligned with the adopted Local Plan including the recent Core Strategy the Council can then proceed to a local referendum. Following this if there is a simple majority the Neighbourhood plan will be made and becomes part of the District’s Local Plan.

Report sets out he Inspectors report and recommendation as well as the neighbourhood plan and subject to the Inspectors recommendation will seek approval to move to a local referendum
