A report to Executive (10 October 2017) detailed the financial and operational pressures being placed on the current scheme. A number of changes to the scheme were proposed to mitigate the impact of those pressures.

Executive instructed the Strategic Director Corporate Services to undertake consultation on proposed changes to inform Executive Decision on a scheme for 2018/19, and to present options to support those in financial need as a consequence of changes to the scheme.

The report provides consultation feedback on the proposed changes and details options for arrangements to support those in financial need as a result of changes to the scheme.

Executive is asked to agree a Council Tax Reduction scheme for 2018/19. Executive is also asked to agree any necessary support arrangements
