Oakwood Grove - Daily obstructive & inconsiderate parking by non-residents causing distress, anxiety and nuisance to residents and often entrapment due to blocked driveways, also residents unable to access their own driveways (both entering & exiting) due to inconsiderate drivers blocking driveways and also leaving their cars parked in front of driveways for considerable periods of time. Vehicles including large SUV's parked on both sides of Oakwood Grove (directly in line with each other on opposite sides) making the road narrower and often impassable, (this happens on regular basis), larger vehicles such as SUV's, vans, waste collection and emergency vehicles are unable to get through. We have (residents of Oakwood Grove) missed bin collections because of obstructive and inconsiderate parking as waste collection are unable to get access. Also, in an event of an emergency, a fire truck or ambulance will not be able to access Oakwood Grove. Damaged pavements and footpaths due to regular curb parking by vehicles and even large delivery trucks (7.5 - 18 tonnes). Residents and pedestrians unable to walk along footpaths safely due to curbed parking (very close to wall), mothers with prams and wheelchair users unable to get passed and have to go onto the road because of curbed parking which is very hazardous. Several residents on Oakwood Grove are elderly and use walking sticks and have to walk onto the road because they cant access the footpath due to constant curbed parking. Anti-Social & aggressive behaviour from non-residents when politely asked to move their obstructing vehicles either when blocking residents driveways or causing access problems. Broken and collapsed driveway walls due to non-resident drivers attempting 3-point turns on Oakwood Grove and hitting and destroying residents walls, this has happened on several occasions.
All of the above is supported by over 3 years of video and picture evidence which is held by the lead petitioner (Mr Asim Khan, 1 Oakwood Grove)
Farcliffe Road - Vehicles (mostly performance cars) driving at
dangerous speeds, exceeding over 40mph, causing noise pollution
with very loud pops and bangs on daily basis up and down Farcliffe
road. Driver visibility for observing pedestrians is poor on
Farcliffe road (even poorer at night) as both sides of the road are
full of parked vehicles and the road is narrow. There are many
families and children living on Farcliffe road, any collision with
pedestrians at over 30mph will cause serious bodily harm or even
death, especially for children who are often left unsupervised on
Farcliffe Road.
