Keighley Albion is a thriving grassroots rugby club with over 300 junior players and 60+ open-age players. However, our current facilities are at full capacity, limiting opportunities for player development and community engagement.
Meanwhile, Utley Recreational Ground sits derelict and unused, despite its potential to serve as a key sporting and community facility for the area. With the right investment, this space could be transformed into a multi-purpose hub that benefits not only our club but also the wider community.
What This Project Will Deliver:
? Additional Changing Rooms – Enabling more teams to train
and play
? More Rugby Pitches – Providing space for our growing junior
and senior teams
? A Community Hub – Hosting local events, community projects,
and initiatives such as neighbourhood watch meetings, educational
programs, and social events
? A Safe, Accessible Facility – Encouraging youth
participation in sport, promoting health, well-being, and community
engagement
Why We Need Council Support:
This project cannot happen without funding. We are calling on the
council to invest in grassroots sports and community development,
ensuring local children, families, and residents have access to
high-quality sports facilities and a safe space to come
together.
This is more than just a rugby club – it’s a community lifeline, and we need your help to bring this vision to life!
