Please close those two snickets on BD7 3NR near Southmere Academy School as the residents living here have to face lots of incidents like: items/pets being stolen from the garden, women and men stopping here to take drugs and smoke drugs while we have children inside the house, people stopping to drink and chat making us feel uncomfortable as they become agressive once they drunk, bags with rubbish are dumped in the snickets, rest of drugs, bottles, cigarettes are left around our homes from those people who frequently use the snickets and we always comcerned to leave the children play outside.

We kindly request, all the residents, who live around here to close these snickets for ourselves and our children safety but also to leave in peace and without fears that anytime of the day or night our things and pets are stolen. There are few incidents already and we fed up to have to deal with this daily.

Explanatory note in respect of this petition posted by the Council - Please note that the closure of a public right of way, if it was supported in principle by the Council, would still require a legal process involving consultation with agencies such as West Yorkshire police; advertisement; the consideration of objections and possibly the holding of a local public enquiry.
