05/02/2024 - : Consideration of objections received in response to consultation with businesses relating to the formal advertising of Waiting, Loading and Parking Restrictions on North Street, Keighley. This Decision Sheet relates to a total of 2 objections. ref: 6065    Recommendations Approved

Following completion of the works and monitoring of the traffic flows it is now considered that to
gain the full benefit of the road widening scheme all parking on the eastern kerbline on North
Street (between Cavendish Street and High Street) be removed and replaced with ‘No Waiting At
Any Time’ restrictions together with ‘No loading Mon-Sat, Midday-6pm.
During 2nd Tier consultation with businesses on North Street, two objections were received,
(see APPENDIX 1)
Officer Comments: Nearby parking is available within a short distance (on-street parking on Scott
Street and off-street parking at Church Green Car Park).

02/02/2024 - Menston Village Traffic Measures – Approval to proceed to advertise and implement ref: 6063    Recommendations Approved

1. The Council carried out an online consultation proposing a village-wide scheme
encompassing a 20mph zone, traffic calming, a one-way street and a priority giveway feature. The consultation documents were also displayed in the Libraries at
Menston and Burley in Wharfedale. Feedback from the consultation was favourable
and is attached as Appendix 1.
2. Following the consultation, the council noted the comments made and where
possible, the scheme was updated and revised. The revisions were sent to the
Ward Councillors for comments, these proposals were approved.
3. That approval is given for the advertisement and implementation of the necessary
Traffic Orders. Any objections to the advertisements to be considered by Area
Committee (or portfolio holder)?
4. That approval is given to proceed with the detailed design and implementation of the
proposals.
