Purpose of the consultation

City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council

(Speed Limits) (No.11) Order 2021

 

105161 Various Sites, Keighley

 

Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 5th May 2022 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to introduce the following:

 

i.              A 20 miles per hour speed limit on the full lengths of Chapel Street, North Street, Stirling Street, Weavers Walk, Pear Tree Court, Pickard Lane, Townhead, Thornber Grove, Ghyllbank, Browcliff, Breakmoor Avenue and Nab View, Silsden; and

 

ii.            A 40 miles per hour speed limit on sections of Denholme Road, Long Causeway, Trough Lane and Sawood Lane, Leeming.

 

The Order comes into force on 16th May 2022 and a copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 1HY or below or obtained from Chris Hird, Traffic & Highway, Stockbridge Depot, Keighley by telephone on 01535 618172 or by email  chris.hird@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number: 105161/SLO.

 

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made on 5th May 2022 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
