(Waiting Loading and Parking) (Consolidation) (Amendment no.*) order
Ives Street and Otley Road, Shipley
Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council proposes to make the above Order under their powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the general effect of which will be to introduce:
I. No Waiting at any time and No Loading Mon-Fri 8am – 9.30am and 4.30pm – 6pm on a length of Otley Road; and
II. No Waiting at any time and No Loading on a length of Ives Street.
A copy of the draft Order together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined below or obtained from Craig Williams, Traffic & Highways North by telephone on 01535 618657 or by email craig.williams@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference number P/HS/THN/RHFM-0299/RM-1 and P/HS/THN/RHFM-0299/RM-2.

Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order
As part of planning conditions attached to the proposed Lidl Retail Store adjacent to Salts Mill Road, Shipley, there is a requirement to promote a Traffic Regulation Order in the interests of road safety and traffic management.
The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council proposes to introduce a loading bay and ‘No Waiting At Any Time” parking restrictions on Ives Street, Shipley, and “No Waiting At Any Time, No Loading Mon-Fri 8am-9.30am and 4.30pm-6.pm” restrictions on a section of Otley Road, Shipley. The proposed restrictions are shown on the attached plans numbered: P/HS/THN/RHFM-0299/RM-1 and P/HS/THN/RHFM-0299/RM-2.
The proposed waiting restrictions on Ives Street and Otley Road are intended to prevent obstructive parking; The Council considering it expedient to make this Order:
I. to aid traffic management
II. for facilitating the passage on the road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians);
III. for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs;
IV. for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
