Purpose of the consultation

Notice of Making of an Order

 

  Highways Act 1980 – Section 119 City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council

 

              Public Footpath No. 44 (Silsden) (Part) at Banklands Lane, Silsden

 

The above Order, made on 28 January 2021 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the full length width of that part of the Public Footpath No. 44 (Silsden) between Point A at Hawber Cote running in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 208 metres to Point B at Banklands Lane to Drabble House Farm running in an east to west direction for 91.5 metres to Point C as shown on the Order map.

 

An alternative Public Footpath shown as A-B by a bold broken line on map no. 66666/T249/250/SIL44_Order Plan as follows:

 

A footpath 3.0 metres wide with an earth and grass surface with a 1.0 metre central strip of sand and gravel commencing at Point A and running in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 220 metres to Point B as shown as shown on the Order map.

 

The new Public Footpath shown as C-D by a bold broken black line on map no. 66666/T249/250/SIL44_Order Plan as follows:

 

A footpath 3.0 metres wide with an earth and grass surface with a 1.0 metre central strip of sand and gravel commencing at Point C and running in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 146.5 metres to Point D as shown on the Order map

 

A copy of the Order and the Order map may be viewed below and will be displayed for viewing outside Silsden Town Hall and also in Customer Services at Britannia House, Bradford, but you will need to make an appointment by telephoning: 01274 432772.  Copies of the Order and map may be purchased, please send a request to the email below.

 

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the City Solicitor at the address given below or by email to legalobjections@bradford.gov.uk quoting reference: CORP/PCD/AK/406918 to be received no later than 12 noon on Friday, 5 March 2021. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

 

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn the Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order.  If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
