City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council Princes Way, Hall Ings and Leeds Road, Bradford Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (Moving Traffic) 2021
Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Experimental Traffic Regulation Order on 15 July 2021 under its powers contained in section 9, of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the general effect of which will be to:
1. Provide shared bus lanes (custodial vehicles and motor cycles will be Authorised Vehicles); and
2. Mandatory left turn (except buses, taxis and authorised vehicles for traffic travelling west bound in the nearside lane of Leeds Road at its junction with Shipley Airedale Road).
The Experimental Order has been made as part of the Council's response to the Covid-19 pandemic to support social distancing and to create lower trafficked routes to encourage walking and cycling. The Experimental Order will be implemented for a maximum of eighteen (18) months during which time its effects will be monitored by the Council before a decision is taken to give the order permanent effect, be varied or modified in some way (if not already varied, modified or cancelled) or allowed to lapse.
