Consultation

Draft Council Plan and draft Equality Objectives

Purpose of the consultation

Bradford Council, working alongside partners, business and communities, delivers services and democratically accountable leadership to a diverse population of over half a million people and 17,000 businesses.  As a Council it strives to secure better outcomes and equality of opportunity for everyone.

We are now looking at what we need to do over the next four years to ensure that we provide the right support across our District so that all our people and businesses have the opportunity to thrive.

As well as refreshing our Council Plan, the Council is refreshing our Equality Objectives. Within these we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to reach their potential, regardless of who they are or where they may live in the District. It is important that equality and social justice must be at the heart of everything the Council does. We want to make sure that as a Council, everyone in Bradford has the opportunity to achieve their full potential, regardless of who they are or where they live in the District.
