Homes and Neighbourhoods: A Guide to Designing in Bradford

Purpose of the consultation

Bradford Council is asking people for their ideas and opinions on a new design guide which aims to make new homes and neighbourhoods more sustainable and healthier places to live.

The draft of Homes and Neighbourhoods: A Guide to Designing in Bradford brings together the very latest thinking in housing and urban design and has been developed with a wide range of community and housing partners.

The Council intends to adopt the guide as a supplementary planning document (SPD) meaning that it will be used to influence and assess the design quality of planning applications. It will apply to all scales of housing development from an individual home to a neighbourhood.
