The Strategic Director, Place informed Members that the Local Government Ombudsman had found maladministration on behalf of the Council, who had been requested to apologise to the complainant and report the findings to the Panel, so that it may consider if further action was required. The applicant’s agent had been invited to the meeting, but had declined to attend.
Resolved –
(1) That the Local Government Ombudsman’s findings be noted.
(2) That the Panel note that the Council’s Planning department have carried out the agreed actions in the Local Government Ombudsman’s findings and do not wish to take any further action.
