In light of the evidence presented to the Panel by the Council’s Environmental Health Department which makes reference to noise nuisance and the serving of an Abatement Notice, the Panel is not convinced that the prevention of public nuisance objective would be fully addressed and therefore authorises service of a Counter Notice preventing the Temporary Event.
Reason – This decision supports the Licensing objective of Prevention of Public Nuisance.

The Licensing Officer presented a report (Document “AF”) which outlined an application for consideration of a Temporary Event Notice for an event to be held at Cue Gardens, Stadium Road, Bradford, BD6 1UP. The event includes the sale of alcohol and provision of regulated entertainment.
The Licensing Officer informed Panel members that an objection has been submitted by the Environmental Health Officer objecting to the proposed event on the grounds of prevention of public nuisance and also due to on-going complaints regarding noise nuisance caused by amplified music and loud voices.
