Purpose of the consultation

 

CITY OF BRADFORD METROPOLITAN DISTRICT COUNCIL

 

(Speed Limit Order) (NO. 6) Order 2023

 

Shetcliffe Lane, Bierley

 

Notice is hereby given that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council made the above Order on 19 October 2023 under its powers contained in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the general effect of which will be to introduce a 20 miles per hour Speed Limit on the following lengths of roads: -

 

                   I.    Shetcliffe Lane, Spen Close, Shetcliffe Road, Fieldhurst Court, Meadowcroft Rise, Burberry Close, Roads within the area bordered by Shetcliffe Lane, Burberry Close, Ferrand Avenue and St John’s Primary School and roads within the area bordered by Shetcliffe Lane, Spen View Lane and Fieldhurst Court.

 

The Order comes into force on 24 October 2023 and a copy of the Order together with a map showing the affected roads may be examined during normal office hours at the Customer Services Reception, City Hall, Bradford, BD1 or can be found below or obtained from Arshad Mahmood, Senior Engineer - Traffic & Road Safety South by telephone on 01274 437684 or by email ArshadMahmood@bradford.gov.uk. Quoting reference number HS/TRSS/105469/AM.

 

If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any Instrument made under it, have not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date upon which the Order was made 19 October 2023 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
