Purpose of consultation

The Environmental Health Service has received an application under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 to authorise a crematorium in the Bradford district.

The applicants are the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council and the intention is to locate the crematorium and associated buildings on land at grid reference 412925 - 436296. The address will be Shay Grange Crematorium, Long Lane, Bradford, BD9 6ST.

Planning permission for the crematorium was granted on 21 January 2021

Public consultation is to be offered in which interested parties may view the full details of the application for an operating permit.  The consultation period is 30 days and so the consultation period will close on 6 April 2023.
