Consultation

Bradford Interchange Station Access Improvements

Purpose of the consultation

Bradford Council, in partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority are bringing forward ambitious plans to improve the look, feel and convenience of the entrance to Bradford Interchange.

The proposals would play a key role in the ambitious plans to boost the regeneration of Bradford city centre and to integrate with other transport plans for the city centre such as the Bradford City Centre Walking and Cycling Improvements Scheme.

Some of the plans include:

·                     A new walkway to the entrance from Hall Ings through a pocket park where the NCP car park is currently located. The NCP car park will be demolished to facilitate this.

·                     Relocation of the taxi rank, disabled parking and drop-off/pick-up area to Bridge Street.

·                     Interior improvements including new furniture, new signage, baby changing facilities, new toilets and a multi-faith room and safety and security improvements.

·                     A new entrance to the underground car park to make it easier to get between the entrance and the car park.

·                     New secure cycle parking in the vicinity of the Interchange.

This is the second round of consultation and we would like your feedback on the updated proposed plans.
